Mid-Atlantic College's History

Mid-Atlantic College's programs are centered on the development of the total student including the social, emotional, intellectual aspects of human life. Mid-Atlantic College's programs have been carefully developed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to function efficiently and effectively as crucial and contributing members of a healthcare team.

Mid-Atlantic College provides education and training to a cultural and ethnic diversity of students who, upon successful completion of their studies, will contribute to the improvement of the health and wellness of their communities.

While student success is at the core of its mission, Mid-Atlantic College recognizes that, ultimately, students must assume responsibility for their own learning and that the role of instructors is to facilitate that learning. To this end, then, it is the responsibility of both the faculty and the college to provide an environment in which students’ critical thinking skills are stimulated and sharpened, in which they can maximize their learning potential, and in which they can thrive intellectually through the exchange of ideas and interaction with other students and faculty.
